I cannot stress how important this is. In order to make progress towards your goals you need to be humble enough to admit to yourself that in some areas you will need training and education and continual learning is the key.
Don’t skimp on this and put aside some money (say 10% of your income) to spend on your education every year. I turn “down time” into learning time. My car is like a library on wheels and I hardly realize there is a car radio. I buy CD’s and MP3 recordings regularly so that my mind keeps energized and motivated. It also kills the weeds in my mind and creates new seeds of opportunity. I suggest you do the same if you are serious about creating a better life. My favourites are Brian Tracy CD sets which I buy from ebay and I would recommend “The Psychology of Achievement”, “Action Strategies for Personal Achievement” and “The Science of Self Confidence” which are a wonderful start to any self improvement collection.
Remember no one can take away the knowledge you have gained and if the worst happened and your business went bust you would still have the knowledge to get back on your feet again in relatively quick time. If you just study something for one hour a day, for three years, you’d be an expert. If it’s one hour a day for five years, you’d become a world expert.
Secret 2. Have an Attitude of Gratitude
Being grateful is one of the most powerful forces you employ for your own benefit. Take a few minutes to right down absolutely everything in your life for which you should be thankful for. For example, A family that loves you , A great house, A dog that loves you. You will find that you will have written down a great deal more than you originally thought and you will feel incredibly happy and joyful. You can only focus on one thing and most people (95%) tend to focus on what they don’t have and take what they currently have for granted. This only gives more of what you don’t have and what you don’t want. But by being grateful for the things you already have in your life you’ll get even more.
Everytime something good happens in your life say “Thank you”. It sounds kind of strange but having an attitude of gratitude keeps you connected to the source of what’s bringing you what you want. And the more you’re thankful, the more you’re going to get that. Think about your own life. If you are grateful for something don’t you get more of it? Alternatively if you neglect it or start to assume and take for granted – doesn’t that seem to turn you off? Cultivate an attitude of gratitude and you will find that your life will be filled with wealth and happiness.
